So once you order a delicious paleo meal plan from the choices on the Order Here page, your homemade meals arrive freshly frozen in a cooler box/bag, then what?
Follow these steps:
FIRST STEPS - Remove and store meals:
We suggest removing the first 3 days worth of meals (i.e. 3 breakies, lunches and dinners) from the cooler box.
Defrosting your meals straight away in batches of 3 days worth at a time saves hassle of doing it every night.
Simply put any remaining meals in the freezer immediately.
DEFROST & REHEAT Option 1 - The microwave, quick and easy!
To eat your meals right away from frozen, use the microwave defrost setting for 10-12 mins.
All meal containers are BPA free and microwave friendly.
Once complete, switch the setting to Medium heating for 2 mins.
Your meals are now defrosted.
Once they're defrosted, the meals can be refrigerated for up to 3 whole days before they begin to expire.
OR if you simply can't wait to eat, you can put the meal back in the microwave on High heat for 2 minutes or use the oven for the best way to enjoy your meals (see further oven instructions below)
Finally, for dinners, empty the heated contents into a large bowl (as opposed to a plate.) and enjoy!
DEFROST Option 2 - The non-microwave option
Leave the meals out on the kitchen counter to defrost at room temperature over night (or for at least 4-6 hours)
Once they're defrosted, the meals can be refrigerated for up to 2-3 whole days before they begin to expire..
OVEN REHEATING in 10 mins - The nicest way to enjoy your meals!:
Oven reheat in 10 mins!
Simply empty the defrosted contents of the meal onto a tinfoil covered baking tray and put in a 200 degree preheated oven for 7-10 mins,
Once complete, serve and enjoy!
SUGGESTION: Add your own salad, spinach, or leafy greens to any of our meals for extra freshness!
TIP: Oven reheating on high heat i.e 200 mark for about 10 minutes is WAY nicer than microwave just as an FYI! Plus it doesn't actually recook your food. This is known in the restaurant trade as "flashing" your food :)
Simply repeat this cycleagain in another 3 days time until you finish your plan.
(Any meals you stick in the freezer upon receiving them will last upto 3 months giving you plenty of time to consume them at a later date if you so wish ;)
